Bimaxillary Surgery

The bimaxillary or combined surgery involves putting both jaws (upper maxilla and mandible) back in the right position. The bones are cut (osteotomies) to make sure, using 2 bites, to find the right position. At this point the bones are fixed with plates and screws and guide elastics are placed to maintain the right position.
