Counterlockwise Rotation
Counterclockwise rotation is the rotational movement of the occlusal plane in an anticlockwise direction compared to the profile view. It can be achieved by reducing the anterior part of the maxilla (especially useful in cases where the gummy smile is associated) or by increasing the height of the maxilla posteriorly or both at the same time.
