III Class
By third class malocclusion we mean a particular facial typology in which there has been an excess growth of the mandible (lower part) which is often accompanied by an undergrowth of the upper jaw. When observing patients who present this type of malocclusion, one notices the important prominence of the chin, especially if observed in profile while the central part of the face (cheekbone-upper lip) appears flattened.
